I rise.
Again. And again.
Not as the morning bird
whose song springs
to sudden glorious life
at the dawning of the light,
but as the sun
who touches the horizon
with tender fingertips
before reaching open arms
across the sky
to embrace another day
to weather the storms
to stand tall and breathe fire
and then to descend into rest
until it’s time to rise again.
And again
I rise.

Asking for help is a sign of strength.

If you are looking for guidance with narcissistic abuse, emotional or psychological abuse, anxiety, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, life transitions, addiction recovery, or grief/loss, it takes courage to ask for help. Admitting you need support is the first step toward achieving holistic wellness in a fast-paced, demanding world.

The way in which we cope in the world is greatly influenced by how we see the world. Asking for help and obtaining a fresh perspective is often the most profound step toward developing the mental and emotional health needed to become stronger. The more support you gain, the better equipped you will be to take on bigger challenges and achieve more successes.

**Update: I’m currently getting my psychiatric prescriptive privileges to be able to provide 30 mins of therapy AND prescribe meds if needed (via insurance). This semester has been too demanding for me to take new clients, but I should (hopefully) have a bit more time next semester b/c I’ll have 1 less class; however, I will only be taking new clients who are willing to do virtual telehealth. I’ve been a specialist in Narcissistic Abuse now for well over 8 years, long before it was the “hip, new thing” to specialize in, so I hope if you’re reaching out for this reason, you will be willing to try virtual! I can provide the same quality of care regardless, and I can say with 100% surety, when it comes to this specific specialty, I have more experience than any other therapist in the state of TN and beyond as a lifecoach for those who have no therapist in their respective state who has either had no experience, or limited experience. I do not operate as a therapist outside of TN in the capacity of lifecoach, but fortunately, there are a lot of practical application exercises that, coupled with education, can have a profound impact on an individual’s ability to heal. Therapists are finally becoming aware (about 10 years later than society at large) and have only recently began specializing in this cruel & psychologically damaging COVERT brand of abuse, as it is still not acknowledged in the DSM, separately from the overt form of this personality disorder, for the exploitative, anti-empathic and potentially malignant (sociopathic, psychopathic) form of abuse that it is.

The Benefits of Therapy

Psychotherapy can be an effective tool in providing you with the necessary support and training to overcome the challenges you face. By seeking therapy, you are taking responsibility and action to change what no longer works in your life. Many studies have shown throughout the years that psychotherapy is an effective form of treating and managing mental illnesses and other emotional disorders.

As an experienced counselor/therapist, it is my honor to assist you in exploring your core issues and move toward a healthy, fulfilling life. Utilizing a variety of approaches including Cognitive/Cognitive-Behavioral, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, I will work with you to create a treatment plan that is customized to meet your unique circumstances.

With honesty and compassion, I will support you through a safe, open channel of communication. The objectives of our therapy sessions will be created together and will be personal and unique to you. The overarching goals will be to help you gain insight, process emotions, examine priorities, develop coping skills, and learn new techniques to help you grow and evolve through difficult times, now and in the future.

“Your present circumstances don’t determine where you can go; they merely determine where you start.”
