Are anxiety and fear interfering with your everyday life?
Have friends and family members told you that you worry too much, but you cannot seem to stop? Do you experience troubling, reoccurring thoughts? Do you feel paralyzed by all of the stressors in your life? If so, you may be experiencing anxiety.
Additional symptoms of anxiety are:
- Inability to concentrate
- Rapid heart beat
- Feeling as if you cannot catch your breath
- Experiencing a sense of dread or doom
- Inability to sleep
- Appetite changes
- Difficulty managing stress
Anxiety can be both a reaction to situational triggers or an underlying disorder. Either way, therapy is an excellent place to learn effective ways to cope with anxiety and regain control of your life. Women experience anxiety more often than men which is not surprising, as we are involved in multiple roles, often containing more responsibilities than we can handle.
I specialize in helping women identify the root of what is causing their anxiety and process it in a way that is beneficial for personal growth. I also enjoy helping clients identify the thought patterns that may be contributing to their anxiety and learn how to replace them with more empowering ways of thinking. Anxiety can feel insurmountable, but it doesn’t have to be.
